Peace and happiness are your natural state of being, but they get affected by our daily lives and interactions. You can never control the way other people think and behave. But you can most definitely control your reactions, and who you want to become based on the certain situations that you confront.
Happiness comes from within; it cannot be determined by someone else.
Phrases like “if only I can get my ex back, then I’ll be happy” will certainly prove wrong.
However, if you can tell your partner in all sincerity,
”I’m okay being with myself yet I choose to be with you” chances of a much healthier and more loving relationship will follow.
In making decisions, ask yourself one or two questions: Is this who I am?
If the answer is no, then you have your decision.
If your answer is yes, ask the second question: “Is this who I want to become?”
You will be surprised as to what this reveals to you.
Make the decision to be happy and the rest will come to you.

Love Makes a House a Home

Even though he was single, at age thirty-two Bill decided it was time to buy a house. He found a modestly priced four-bedroom home and began to visualize how he could use the rooms. Few months later, however, he found himself engaged to marry a woman who had three young daughters. Two years after their marriage, Bill and his wife, Dee had a baby. The gym and TV room he had envisioned in his new house never materialized!
It took Billy and Dee four jobs to pay for life they had chosen, but although their schedules were relentless, Bill couldn’t help but conclude, “Ain’t life grand?” Eventually, his stepdaughters began to leave home and Bill once again made plans for the spare rooms in the house. But his elderly parents needed help, and Bill and Dee, invited them to move in. Even in getting up night to help his ailing father, Bill still was of the opinion, “Ain’t life grand?”
After more than twenty-five years, Bill still doesn’t have his “dream house”. What he has had, however, is two decades of REAL HOME.

A man who just arrived in Heaven could hardly stop telling St. Peter how grateful he was to be in such a glorious place. He asked St. Peter to give him one glimpse into Hades so that he might further appreciate his good fortune, and St. Peter allowed this.
In Hades he saw a long table extending as far as his eyes could behold. The table was covered with the most delicious and varied foods the man had ever seen. Yet, everyone seated around the table was starving.
The man asked St. Peter, “Why don’t they eat?”
St. Peter replied “Everyone is required to take food from the table only with four-foot-long forks. They are so long that no one can reach the food from the table to his mouth, and therefore each one is slowly dying.”
Upon his return to Heaven, the man saw a table that appeared identical! It, too, was laden with delicious foods of every type. Yet the people around this table were well fed.
The man said to St. Peter, “They must have shorter forks here in Heaven!”
St. Peter replied, “No, only four-foot-long forks.”
Puzzled the man asked, “Then, why are those in Hades are starving to death and those in Heaven seem to be happy and well fed?”

Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the Professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups – porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite-telling them to help themselves to the hot coffee.
When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: “If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones.
While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.
What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for he best cups and were eyeing in each other’s cups.
Now if life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups.

The law of attraction is one of the most powerful laws of the universe. You become what you think and say. This is why some people are luckier than others. If you are the type of person who is constantly finding yourself in the longest line or with the most inept salesperson in the store, chances are you are sending out negative energy. If you think, do and speak in a positive light, you will in fact attract the positive.
It is a law of the universe; you can’t change it, so use it.
If you think all people are flawed, guess what, you will only encounter flawed people. If you keep thinking you might get sick, chances are you will find yourself in front of a doctor very soon. The list goes on.
Practice gratitude; it’s so much easier to be grateful than to put down something. If you are such in a traffic, use it as an opportunity to return missed calls on your cell phone or to simple appreciate the music on your iPod. Don’t allow yourself to get ANGRY. Find a solution and be grateful for it.

False Alarm
Lately, I was waiting terribly (I admit, for 3 days only) message on my cell phone. Every time there is no sign of a yellow-covered-letter on the upper left side. I felt a heavy weight on my chest, making it hard to breathe. I know this could be real annoying, I almost feel like crying!
Finally, (4th day) few minutes after I had woke up, I heard my phone message alert 3, surprisingly, siya na pala ‘yun! Well, and that made me respond, what he might think “dramatically”. Then, I guess, good fortune keeps distance from me, I was saddened by his response. Haaay…
I was wondering what I had said for that very abrupt change, I suppose, I sensed something “unusual.” I believe it takes constant effort to tell the truth. But you know what? No matter what happens, I’ll always understand, perhaps I am assuring all the time that things will be as “usual”.
Yes, this is what they call transitions – life is full of transitions. Better yet, I need to focus on the present blessings, the present joy (?) (safer to say, the joy I had)
