Jesus' Apprentice

After I submitted my coded diaries in the office, without auditing which page, I hurriedly went down the stairs and had few steps going to Cathedral, I can't understand why I'm such in a rush. I was suppose to be with a friend but, sorry, she had her Sing-Along examination (true!). Soon as I got there, I sit on the outside bench and listened for the remaining 30-min preach. My tummy starts to ache since I don't get any "merienda" at home, so I looked for something "native". I bought a 5-peso bibingka and decided to wait for the 6pm mass.

I was there eating while catching glimpse at the passers-by; couples, friends, sisters, etc. and I'm proud to admit, I bravely attend the celebration of the Eucharist by myself! (clap 3x). Now, it's time. I settled to sit in the middle, making sure there are people I am to follow when to stand, when to kneel and when to sit. For I guess, it would bring terrible humiliation if I'd be sitting infront, then everyone else is standing or kneeling and I'm left sitting or vice versa, and one thing, this may sound frustrating but,I don't know what to respond when it's about, except for "and also with you"(grrrr).

I confess, I do attend Catholic mass but I never had a chance to understand what the Father preaches, I am used in a non-Catholic church, but after I heard the gospel that night, I realized the ONLY difference, it's how someone delivers God's Word clearly. My attentiveness caught two crucial phrases then.

"What the world needs now are witnesses!"
"We shouldn't abuse our position to avoid corruption"
